Victoria Fair Midway Goes Big Time
All the tinselly razzle-dazzle of the midway throbbed to life in winking, flashing fairy lights as darkness descended over opening night at the Jaycee Fair Monday. Always the centre of attention, the carnival is symbolized and dominated by its 65-foot ferris wheel, affording from its crest a birdie-view of Victoria. New enlarged units and truly "fair" weather promise a new attendance record by week's end.
